From Search to Outreachin 5 Steps

Most lead generation tools leave you with a spreadsheet and no next steps. LeadScoutr's Post-Search Wizard bridges the gap between finding leads and starting outreach -- all in one guided flow.

The Gap Between Search and Outreach

You have just run an AI-powered search and landed 70+ company results. Each one has a deal score, a website, a summary, and content quality indicators. The data is rich. The opportunity is real. But what happens next?

In most tools, this is where the workflow breaks down. You export a CSV, open a spreadsheet, manually cross-reference company data, hunt for contact information on LinkedIn, and cobble together an outreach list over the course of hours -- sometimes days. By the time you are ready to send your first email, the momentum from your initial search has evaporated.

LeadScoutr's Post-Search Wizard eliminates that gap entirely. It takes your raw search results and walks you through five focused steps -- shortlisting, organizing, enriching companies, finding decision-makers, and exporting -- so you go from search results to outreach-ready leads without ever leaving the platform. No tab-switching. No manual data entry. No lost momentum.

This guide walks through each step in detail, explains what happens behind the scenes, and shares strategies for maximizing your credits and conversion rates along the way. If you want to see how the broader search experience works before diving into the wizard, check out our Mission Control overview.

Step 1: Shortlist Your Targets

1
Review and Select

The wizard opens with your full set of search results. Every company is listed with its deal score, content quality badge, and a brief AI-generated summary. Your first task is deciding which companies deserve your attention and which ones you want to skip.

You have two approaches here. For focused outreach campaigns where quality matters more than volume, review individual scores and summaries, then manually check the companies that look promising. The deal score gives you an immediate sense of fit -- companies scoring 70 or above are strong candidates, while those below 50 might not be worth the enrichment credits.

For broader campaigns where you want maximum coverage, use the "Select All" button to check every result in one click. This is especially useful when you ran a tightly scoped search (for example, "SaaS companies with 20-50 employees in Berlin") and you are confident the entire result set is relevant. Content quality badges -- Full, Partial, or Thin -- help you gauge how much intelligence was gathered for each company, so you can prioritize the ones with the richest data profiles.

Step 2: Organize Into Lists

2
Add to Lists

Once you have your shortlist, the wizard asks where these leads should live in your CRM. You can add them to an existing list -- "Q1 Outreach," "UK SaaS Targets," or whatever structure you have set up -- or create a brand new list right from the wizard without leaving the flow.

List organization might feel like a minor step, but it has outsized impact on your pipeline. When leads are properly categorized from the moment they enter your CRM, you can run targeted outreach campaigns by segment, measure conversion rates by source, and ensure your team knows exactly which leads belong to which initiative. Leads dumped into a generic "All Leads" bucket tend to stagnate -- nobody knows who is responsible for them or what campaign they belong to.

If you are working with a team, list assignment is especially important. Shared lists give your entire team visibility into the pipeline, while private lists let individual reps manage their personal prospects without cluttering the shared workspace. The wizard supports both -- just select the list type when creating a new one. Every lead you save here is automatically visible in your CRM's table view and kanban board, ready for pipeline tracking.

Step 3: Enrich Companies

3
Deep Company Intelligence

This is where your leads transform from basic search results into actionable intelligence. Company enrichment pulls from our verified database to layer 10+ data points onto every shortlisted company: industry classification, employee count, estimated revenue range, tech stack, founding year, headquarters location, social media profiles, and more.

Before the enrichment runs, you see a clear credit preview showing exactly how many Company Enrich credits will be consumed. There are no surprises. If you selected 40 companies but only want to enrich the top 15, you can adjust your selection. The wizard calculates the total cost in real time and shows your remaining balance so you can make an informed decision before committing.

Once you confirm, enrichment runs in batch with a live progress indicator. You can watch each company light up as its data arrives -- industry tag, employee count, tech stack, revenue estimate. The enriched data is permanently attached to the lead record and visible to your entire team. It feeds into the deal scoring algorithm, makes your outreach more personalized, and gives you the context you need to have informed sales conversations.

This step is optional. If you are running a high-volume scan and want to save credits, you can skip enrichment entirely and come back to it later from the lead profile. But for campaigns where personalization matters -- and it almost always does -- enrichment is where the real value compounds.

Step 4: Find Decision-Makers

4
Discover the Right Contacts

You have shortlisted companies, organized them, and enriched their profiles. Now comes the question that defines outreach success: who exactly should you contact? The People Lookup step answers this by searching our professional database for decision-makers at each shortlisted company.

The wizard uses AI to suggest relevant job titles based on your original search context. If you searched for "marketing agencies in Amsterdam," it might suggest "Managing Director," "Head of Business Development," or "Partner." If you searched for "SaaS companies with enterprise clients," it might suggest "VP Sales," "CTO," or "Head of Procurement." You can accept the AI suggestions, modify them, or type your own titles entirely.

The size selector lets you control how many people to find per company: 1, 3, 5, or 10. Starting with 1 per company is the most credit-efficient approach -- you get the single best match for each company and can always expand later. For strategic accounts where you want to reach multiple stakeholders (the classic multi-threaded sales approach), bump it up to 3 or 5.

Results include verified names, current job titles, LinkedIn profile URLs, and professional email addresses where available. Each person is linked to their parent company in your CRM, so when you open a lead profile, you see both the company intelligence and the people associated with it. This turns company-level leads into person-level outreach targets -- the final piece of the puzzle before you start writing emails.

Step 5: Review and Export

5
Summary and Next Steps

The final step presents a completion summary with animated counters that tally everything you accomplished: leads added to your CRM, companies enriched with deep data, people discovered with contact information, and credits consumed across each category. It is a satisfying moment -- you started with a search query and now have a fully qualified, enriched pipeline with identified decision-makers.

From the summary screen, you can export your results to CSV or Excel. The export includes every data point -- company details, enrichment data, deal scores, and contact information -- formatted and ready for use in email tools, mail merge platforms, or any external system your team relies on. LeadScoutr never locks your data in.

When you close the wizard, your leads are already waiting in your CRM. Open any list to see them in table view or kanban board. Each lead has its deal score, enrichment data, and linked contacts attached. Activity logging begins the moment you interact with a lead -- add a note, log a call, schedule a follow-up -- building the relationship history that powers your pipeline from first touch to closed deal.

Credit-Conscious Workflows

Every step of the Post-Search Wizard is designed to give you control over credit spend. But there are strategies that help you get significantly more value from your monthly allocation. Here are the approaches used by our most efficient teams.

  • Selective enrichment by score: Instead of enriching every shortlisted company, filter for deal scores of 70 or above. Companies with high scores have already demonstrated strong signals during the search -- enriching them is a high-probability investment. Lower-scoring companies can stay in your list unenriched until you have more data or budget to revisit them.
  • Start small with people lookup: Begin with 1 person per company rather than 3 or 5. You get the top-ranked decision-maker for each company, which is often all you need for initial outreach. If you do not get a response from the first contact, you can always run another people lookup later for additional stakeholders -- the lead is already in your CRM with all its data intact.
  • Match search depth to intent: Use Quick search depth for broad market scans where you are exploring a new territory or industry. Quick searches consume fewer Scout Credits and return results faster. Reserve Deep searches for focused campaigns where you have a clear ICP and want maximum intelligence on every result. The depth you choose at search time directly affects how much value you extract from each credit.
  • Skip steps you do not need: Every step in the wizard is optional except the shortlist. If you already have company data from a previous enrichment run, skip Step 3. If you only need company-level leads for now, skip Step 4 entirely. The wizard does not force a linear progression -- skip what does not serve your current campaign.
  • Batch strategically: Running 10 separate searches with 7 results each and enriching all of them is far less efficient than running 2 targeted searches with 35 results each and enriching only the top 20. Consolidate your searches, be specific with your queries, and let the scoring algorithm tell you where to invest your enrichment credits.

What Happens After the Wizard

The Post-Search Wizard is not the end of the workflow -- it is the beginning. Once leads land in your CRM, the full pipeline management system takes over. Understanding this transition helps you plan your post-wizard actions and keep deals moving forward.

Every lead saved through the wizard appears in your chosen list with a "New" status. Open the kanban view to see them as cards in the first column, ready to be moved through your pipeline stages: New, Contacted, Qualified, and Converted. Dragging a card from one column to the next updates its status instantly across the platform -- every team member sees the change in real time.

Enrichment data and contact information are permanently attached to each lead record. When you open a lead profile, you see everything in one place: the company overview from your initial search, enrichment details (industry, employee count, tech stack, revenue), deal score with dimension breakdowns, and all linked contacts with their titles and email addresses. There is no need to cross-reference external databases or spreadsheets -- it is all consolidated on the lead card.

Activity logging begins the moment you start working a lead. Every note, call, email, and meeting is timestamped and attributed to the team member who created it. This builds an institutional relationship history that survives employee turnover and ensures continuity when leads are handed off between reps. Set reminders on activities to schedule follow-ups, and LeadScoutr sends email notifications when they are due.

The full cycle -- from a single search query to a closed deal -- runs entirely inside LeadScoutr. Search, score, shortlist, organize, enrich, find contacts, save to CRM, track pipeline, log activities, and convert. No tool-switching, no manual data transfer, no context lost between systems. The Post-Search Wizard is the critical bridge that turns raw search intelligence into pipeline-ready leads, and everything after it flows naturally from the data you have already gathered.
